Progress Made! May 27, 2008

I was completely determined to get some major progress done on my Harley Davidson Cross Stitch project that I am giving as a gift later this year. Thankfully, I was able to do just that. I love how an image or a design takes shape on the canvas and I’m (rather) impressed with myself!
Monday’s Challenge May 12, 2008
Posted by Angela in : General crafts, Inspiration, Monday Challenge , add a commentGood morning everyone. Hope you are all doing well and to all you moms out there… a very happy belated Mother’s Day!
My Mother’s Day was spectacular. I love my children and my mom was here to spend some time with us. It was awesome.
But every Sunday brings a Monday and it’s Challenge time. Similar to blog called The Dares, it’s time for a real challenge.

Challenge: Pull out a UFO sometime this week and make some SIGNIFICANT progress. “What do you mean SIGNIFICANT” you might ask. I’m so glad you did. By significant, I mean you start to see some light at the end of the tunnel. You feel like you are actually making progress. Maybe it’s getting another quilt block done. Or maybe it’s that you got one more layout of your current scrapbook project done.
Whatever the genre and whatever the item, dust off one of those UFOs and get something done it. Share before and after photos on your blog and leave a comment so we can all come and see it!
National Scrapbooking Day May 4, 2008
Posted by Angela in : Uncategorized , add a commentWhat a great weekend. Yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day and today is my birthday. Could I ask for more? Seriously, could I?
In honor of NSD, I spent a lot of time gathering inspiration, reading my favorite crafting magazines, Creating Keepsakes and Memory Makers, not to mention sketching layouts and organizing photos. Unfortunately, my crafting room is not set up yet to optimally scrapbook and stamp and do all those things that I love to do. But, I’m doing my best to be patient even while I see pictures pile up and my folder of layout ideas and inspirational articles get thicker and thicker but not get opened.
Today, I plan on enjoying the day and doing some crafting, most likely working on the Harley Davidson Cross Stitch that I have going right now. Hope everyone has a wonderful day! And post links in the comments to what you did for NSD.
I Couldn’t Be Prouder May 2, 2008
Posted by Angela in : Kid Crafts , add a commentAs I stated in a previous post, I caught my daughter reading one of my quilting magazines, so I promptly ran out and bought her a kid sewing craft kit. She got to pick and she wanted the Disney Princesses sewing cards. You know the kind I’m talking about: the shoelaces that you can thread through the big holes around the edge.
Well, just for an update, she finished her first one! When she was done, she said “Mommy, are you proud of me?” Are you kidding kiddo? I’m ecstatic!

Thanks for the Patience May 1, 2008
Posted by admin in : Uncategorized , add a commentIt’s been a rough rode trying to get this blog switched over. Talking to technical people sure makes my head spin, but we’re nearly there. Prepare for some changes here and then we’re off to the races. Thanks again for all the patience while I get everything figured out over here!
